There is no doubt that engineering, sound fiscal management, and operational excellence are critical to a well-run transportation department. TransComm: The AASHTO Subcommittee on Transportation Communications is made up of public affairs professionals from the 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. It promotes excellence in communications through the exchange of ideas and educational programming, presents annual skills awards and advises other committees on communications issues. It is also the sponsor of the yearly TransComm meeting and communications skills competition.
